Structural Design Engineer Hybrid
Job Description
:
Develop construction project specifications and designs adhering to customer requirements and structural engineering standards
Collaborate with rail infrastructure disciplines, architects, and contractors to ensure feasible and client-compliant designs
Utilize CAD software for design creation and refinement, including 3D models and animations using CAD and BIM tools
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new designs and construction techniques
Maintain project documentation, including design reports, drawings, and specifications
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and uphold structural safety, reliability, and sustainability standards in construction projects
Lead multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve on-time, budget-compliant, and quality-standard-compliant project completion
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering
A minimum of 5 years post-registration (Pr Eng/Pr Tech Eng) specializing in diverse structural engineering, covering foundation, concrete, steel structures, industrial/office buildings, underpasses, retaining walls, and infrastructure structures
Strong technical background in Civil Engineering
Demonstrated excellent design skills
Qualification:
BSc, BEng or BTech in Civil Engineering
Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
