Job Description

Job Summary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and analyse structural designs for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and maintain safety standards.
• Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, drawings, and specifications, documenting all design calculations and modifications.
• Identify potential design and construction issues and develop innovative solutions to ensure project success.
• Ensure all designs and construction practices comply with building regulations and safety standards.
• Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (BEng, BSc or BTech).
• Registered as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA; Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is an advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, showcasing a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent tools.
• Solid understanding of materials, construction techniques, and relevant building codes.
• Strong project management capabilities, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• A proactive and flexible mindset, capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
