Our client in the agricultural sector is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. This role will report to the Engineering Manager.Responsibilities:xc2xb7 Design and engineering of polyethylene greenhouses. Perform structural steel designs, including building and foundation elements.xc2xb7 Perform calculations to ensure proper component design at both the part and structural level.xc2xb7 Manage the development of assemblies and components in SolidWorks. Ensure compliance with all of the relevant building codes.xc2xb7 Facilitate seamless integration between greenhouse structure and other systems (Heating, Ventilation, Electrical, Water.) Provide technical input when required to support the execution process (procurement, manufacturing, QA, and installation.)Requirements:xc2xb7 BSc Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.xc2xb7 Matric certificate. 3+ years in a similar role. Experience with RISA-3D, RAM Elements, CASTA or similar structural engineering software.xc2xb7 Must have good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
