Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and well rounded Structural Engineering Technologist for our client based in the Southern Suburbs, Cape Town.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Analysis and design of building structures
- Reinforced concrete design and earthquake analysis
- Foundation design and analysis
- Detail design of members
- Reinforcement design
- Draughting and checking structural drawings and bending schedules
- Checking of shop drawings
- Structural audits and condition assessments
- Technical investigation and report writing
- Projects administration, management and preparation of tender documents
- Attend client liaison and project meetings
- Construction monitoring and supervision, including measurement and payment certificates
- B.Sc Eng/B.Eng/B-Tech
- 3-8 years post-graduation experience in a reinforced concrete and structural steel design office
- Must be proficient in Prokon, Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Designer and Microsoft Office
