The role of the Student Sales Advisor is to develop and maintain excellent relations with potential new students, with the key focus on increasing student intake. This is achieved through proactive and reactive communication with potential students via multiple channels using leads generated through various marketing campaigns and databases.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver prepared sales scripts to persuade potential customers to purchase educational products or services
Describe educational programs, courses, and services in detail
Respond to questions about admission requirements, tuition fees, and course content
Obtain and verify customer information for enrollment processes
Identify and qualify possible customer leads
Maintain accurate records of telephonic interactions, orders, and accounts
Follow up on initial contacts to nurture leads through the sales funnel
Achieve individual and team sales targets
Conduct needs assessments to match students with appropriate programs
Provide guidance on financial aid options and application processes
School Marketing - Generating leads from high schools through effective lead generation strategies
Inbound Communication
Answer phones professionally and promptly
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner
Provide comprehensive information about educational products and services
Process enrollment forms and applications accurately
Route calls to appropriate resources or departments when necessary
Update existing databases with modifications, changes, and current status of customers or prospective students
Achieve minimum registrations for each campaign
Capture and analyze survey data
Maintain appropriate schedules of calls made and subsequent registrations
Outbound Communication
Conduct outreach campaigns to potential students via phone, email, and social media
Follow up with leads generated from various marketing initiatives
Conduct phone interviews to pre-screen applicants when required
Provide personalized program recommendations based on student interests and qualifications
Administration and Support
Greet clients and visitors professionally at all levels of seniority
Manage inbound and outbound communication across multiple channels (phone, email, chat)
Provide individualized, high-standard customer service
Build interest in the educational products and services offered by the institution
Assist with service queries and resolve technical issues related to the application process
Handle customer interactions face-to-face, electronically, or via telephone
Identify trends in customer inquiries and provide feedback for process improvement
Propose solutions for enhancing customer experience and streamlining enrollment processes
Successfully manage and prioritize multiple inquiries simultaneously
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of program offerings, admission requirements, and institutional policies
Data Management and Reporting
Perform accurate data entry and maintenance of customer/potential customer databases
Generate regular reports on call metrics, conversion rates, and enrollment statistics
Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improving recruitment strategies
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and institutional privacy policies
Professional Development
Stay informed about institution trends and competitors' offerings
Attend relevant workshops and training sessions to enhance sales and customer service skills
Continuously improve product knowledge and understanding of the education sector
Qualifications
Diploma/ degree
Previous experience in sales, customer service, or higher education recruitment is a plus
Valid Driver licence
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as required
