Are you an experienced Engineer ready to take on a pivotal role in a top-tier engineering firm with offices in Cape Town and Durban? Wexe2x80x99re looking for a Superintendent Engineer who will lead projects from concept to completion, offer expert technical support, and ensure our clients receive the highest level of service.Education:

• Bachelorxe2x80x99s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the marine industry.
• In-depth technical expertise in engines, generators, and associated equipment.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a knack for juggling multiple projects.
• Familiarity with SHEQ standards and a strong track record in customer relationship management.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Specialize in the disassembly, measurement, assembly, and overhauling of two-stroke, medium-, and high-speed engines.
• Possess a deep understanding of marine systems, including engines, generators, oil mist detectors, and oil-water separators.
• Manage entire project lifecycles - from initial scope and costing to planning, execution, and final closure.
• Demonstrate strong financial acumen, with skills in cost control, time management, and safety oversight.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting, field service support, and investigate machine failures.
• Deliver exceptional technical and after-sales support, including handling spare parts and repair needs.
• Maintain meticulous records, including time-sheets, travel expenses, and detailed technical reports.
• Organize work packages with a keen focus on meeting SHEQ standards.
• Excel in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring the highest levels of satisfaction.
