Job Description
Our mining client is looking for a dynamic Supervisor for Shift Load and Haul operations. This role involves overseeing daily load and haul activities, managing tools and trucks, leading teams, handling contractor relations, controlling budgets, and ensuring SHERQ compliance. - Minimum of five (5) years operational general surface mining experience Control Room / Quality Control / Machine Operator.
- Minimum of one (1) year operational operator experience Load and Haul or Auxiliary equipment (Recommended).
- Minimum of one (1) year Supervisor / Team / Project Leader experience in a surface mining environment.
- Minimum of five (5) years Supervisor / Team / Project Leader experience in a Load and Haul mining environment (Recommended).
- Grade 12.
- Blasting Certificate in Surface Mining / MQA equivalent qualification.
- Supervisory Certificate (NQF level 4, 150 Credits) or ARM equivalent.
- Mine Overseer Certificate in Mining or National Diploma in Mining Engineering NQF 6 (Recommended).
- Computer literacy (Intermediate user of MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, JDE).
- Functional knowledge (Load and Haul, Drill and Blast processes and procedures, Grade control module, ability to understand Geoscan readings).
- Adapting and responding to change.
- Coping with pressure and setbacks.
- Delivering results and meeting customer expectations.
- Planning and organizing.
