Job Description
Control, repair, inspect and maintain all small plant, tools, equipment, and yard stock on site in a responsible, productive, and efficient manner, including all site facilities, accommodation, offices, site security & lighting.REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Education:
- N3 Mechanical / Electrical or Millwright
- Supervisory Course; Post matric qualification in a relevant discipline
- One year experience of 1st level tools and equipment control and repair.
- Proven experience in excel and admin (Microsoft packages)
- Daily check and reporting of equipment availability to the construction manager
- Attends to all first line equipment breakdown assessments and determines local repairs or third-party repairs
- Compile and submit weekly major plant usage sheets
- Compile and submit monthly diesel usage reconciliation sheet
- Receiving of all tools and equipment
- Dispatching and return of tools and equipment
- Conducts monthly stock takes of equipment inventory
- Collaborate with Logistics Team for all major plant planned maintenance
- Minimises break downs and optimises equipment by conducting preventive maintenance
- Assist asset store supervisor with planning and execution of quarterly plant inspections
- Ensures resources, tools and equipment are available for site
