Our client, a well established supply chain and logistics company, division of a JSE listed Group, are seeking a motivated, qualified individual to join their Supply Chain department, to ensure the smooth functioning of all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, processing, order fulfilment and delivery.Job Purpose:
An efficient, functional supply chain is the backbone of any successful regional operations, and you will use your expertise in:

• Logistics management, forecasting, and transportation to build better supply processes.
• Create contingency plans in case of disruption.
• Ensure key leadership has up-to- date and transparent reporting.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Matric essential.
• Degree or Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain is preferable.
• Minimum 5 years experience logistics experience.
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Valid Driver's Licence and own transport.

Essential Duties:
Report to the Customer Services Centre Manager and the Logistics Manager:

• Implement new processes and procedures for the Supply Chain department.
• Create new reporting and track information.
• Liaise with vendors and transportation partners to determine ideal scheduling and timelines.
• Evaluate existing business processes and recommend improvements
• Source rates from service providers depending on the services requested by the customer (shipping lines, transporters, clearing agent).
• Prepare quotations.
• Open, maintain, and finalise shipment files.
• Onboarding of customers onto Workflow System.
• Complete vessel bookings with shipping lines
• Monitor stack dates and keep customer informed.
• Arrange customs clearance where applicable with the nominated clearing agent and send clearance documents.
• Capture customer invoice.
• Request shipping line invoices.
• Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure full end-to-end supply chain process is adhered to.
• Confirm payments from customers with the Finance department.
• Attend to customer related queries.
• Attend to adhoc queries.
