Job Description


Hire Resolve's client is seeking a talented and experienced Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist to join their team in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry based in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth transportation of products, managing inventory levels, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring timely delivery to customers.Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, inventory management, and warehouse activities
  • Plan and oversee the movement of products from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely delivery
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes and reduce operational costs
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies regarding the transportation and handling of hazardous chemicals
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to manage inventory levels and minimize stockouts
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement in the supply chain process
  • Monitor transportation providers to ensure adherence to safety standards and delivery schedules
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain, including suppliers, customers, and transportation providers
  • Conduct daily analysis of stock levels and customer orders, to ensure product availability, which results in improved inventory management and enhanced customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is required
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) can be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain logistics in the Chemical Industry
  • Proficiency in software systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
  • Familiarity with regulations governing the transport and storage of chemicals
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be based in the Western Cape
