Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating the functions of procurement of materials, components, and services according to the overall company objectives.
• Responsible for driving inventory sourcing, negotiating contracts with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure materials ordered, supplied at optimal cost, meet ISO 9001 requirements and technical specifications.
• Coordinate the Master Production Schedule in terms of chassis movement.
• Addresses issues and bottlenecks with internal departments by constantly monitoring orders, understanding, and mitigating risks on delivery timelines and documenting solutions and take corrective action as required.
• Coordinate the parts logistics , relating to customer sales (picking , packing & shipping) as well as overseeing the companyxe2x80x99s supply chain movements in terms of trucks , materials & components.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification (Degree or Diploma) in Supply Chain & Logistics
• 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in Supply Chain
• Excellent firm negotiating skills.
• Must have excellent time management skills.
• Sound IT Skills (Excel, SAP etc.)
• Knowledge of Engineering/Truck Body building process will be advantageous.
• Driverxe2x80x99s license
