Job Description


:A financial services entity is seeking a full-time, permanent Support Administrator to assist in the Employee Benefits Consulting department. You'll play a key role in processing claims, policy administration, member support, and liaising with insurers, consultants, and employers.Key Responsibilities:Claims Administration

  • Manage disability claims, including notifications, documentation, submissions, follow-ups, and benefit category adjustments.
  • Handle severe illness and dread disease claims, ensuring timely communication with all stakeholders.
  • Process Loss of License claims, tracking reviews and coordinating benefit category changes.
Medical Underwriting & Risk Management
  • Assist members with medical underwriting, including appointment scheduling, document collection, and payment processing.
  • Monitor underwriting decisions, update internal systems, and track salary-based cover adjustments.
  • Conduct risk rebrokes, liaising with insurers and consultants, and preparing risk summary reports.
  • Manage risk renewals, ensuring timely communication and system updates.
Regulatory & Documentation Support
  • Draft and manage Section 14 transfer documentation, coordinating with transferor / transferee funds.
  • Prepare new business proposals and installation documents, setting up workflows and ensuring compliance.
  • Conduct monthly home loan audits, flagging approved applications and tracking updates.
  • Prepare and distribute member benefit statements and member guides.
System & Process Management
  • Maintain and update the website, ensuring accurate client information.
  • Supervise pack preparation for client materials and follow-up actions.
  • Generate monthly claims reports, ensuring timely release and query resolution.
Requirements
  • Matric (Higher Grade Maths with minimum C symbol), a tertiary level qualification would be ideal.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role within employee benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Previous experience with Employee Benefits software, such as Everest would be advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reconciliation skills.
