RPO Recruitment is currently hiring a Surface General Engineering Supervisor to join a well-established mining company in the Northern Cape. As a Surface General Engineering Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery on the surface mining operations.Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the maintenance team on site
• Ensure equipment availability and productivity
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs
• Manage and control maintenance costs and budgets
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Monitor and report on equipment performance and reliability
• Identify areas for improvement and implement action plans
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Trade Test Certificate Artisan / Technician
• N5 Engineering Studies
• Advanced Management Certificate
• Minimum 6 Years Post apprenticeship in an artisan / technician trade in heavy industrial, mining or plant and/or
• Trackless Mobile Machinery
• At least 5 Years Supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of maintenance strategies and practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment
• Valid driver's license
