Hire Resolve's Client are seeking an experienced Surveyor Foreman to oversee and manage all surveying operations on construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting land and site surveys, ensuring accurate measurements, setting out works, and collaborating with engineers, architects, and construction teams to maintain precision in project execution.Key Responsibilities:A. PLANNINGPlan daily for the following day's activities.Ensure that sufficient materials are available alongside trenches.Monitor progress against targets and report.Locate and expose all existing services prior to each day's work.B. LABOUR-MANAGEMENTEnsure that team leaders and operators have all the necessary information before starting the work process.Maintain discipline within the team.Train students and tachi-sighters.Foster healthy and open communication up and down the chain.C. PLANT MANAGEMENTResponsible for the safekeeping, accuracy, and maintenance of instruments and other tools issued.Check instruments regularly and report issues.Ensure correct application of plant.Report downtime and mechanical problems on plant.Maintain profiles and tamnani's.Ensure that all survey equipment is stored safely and neatly.D. SURVEYINGCheck all benchmarks, survey beacons, and existing connection points for accuracy.Report any discrepancies from plan or existing information.Check levels of previous work, especially where work has to continue.Ensure that each team has line and level in place to start work on time.Locate all indicated existing services and report line and level clashes.Check and observe level and line during pipe-laying.Report any deviations immediately.Responsible for the recovery of survey material (droppers and pegs).E. COST MANAGEMENTMeasure work daily and complete survey and daily costing sheets.Allocate correct cost codes for fuel and labour.F. CONTRACTUAL MANAGEMENTEnsure accurate setting out according to drawings, specifications, and documentation.Consult the plan register and use the latest updates.Responsible for surveying and recording as-built information.Survey all existing ground levels and report discrepancies.Record all survey information according to company standards.Ensure that quality standards are upheld.Follow safety procedures diligently.Use the correct line of communication with engineers.G. PUBLIC RELATIONSMaintain healthy relationships with engineers and clients.Be aware of public access and contractual requirements.Report potential access-related problems to the Site Agent.H.
