Job SummaryHire Resolve's client, a well-established construction company, is urgently seeking an experienced Surveyor Foreman join their team in Wellington, WC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning daily activities, managing labour, and ensuring accurate surveying for construction projects.
- Plan daily activities and ensure materials are available.
- Manage and supervise teams, maintaining discipline and communication.
- Ensure accuracy and maintenance of surveying instruments.
- Perform and verify surveying measurements, benchmarks, and levels.
- Monitor and report progress, discrepancies, and deviations.
- Maintain cost control by measuring work and completing daily costing sheets.
- Set out work according to drawings and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
- Maintain good relationships with engineers, clients, and the public.
- Report potential access issues and other site concerns.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks related to the role.
- Relevant qualification in surveying or construction (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Surveyor Foreman or similar role in civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, and site management.
- Ability to manage and coordinate teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Effective communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
