PURPOSE OF THE JOBTo quantify the stock volumes at all Samancor Chrome Business unitsBALANCED SCORECARD PILLARS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

• Identify and assess level of issue based risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
• Manage SHEQ compliance within the Process through effective use of the Toolbox
• Utilise the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

BUSINESS PROCESSES

• Quantify the stock volumes at Samancor Chromes Business units
• Assisting Business Units Engineers with topographic and detail surveys for project planning.
• Monitoring of slag and tailings facilities for the SHEQ departments.
• Assisting the mining region with survey work overflow in pit & stockpile quantifications.
• Perform port surveys in Durban, Richards Bay and Maputo.
• Ares of responsibilities, but not limited is:

- Tubatse Ferrochrome and Tubatse Alloys in Steelpoort stockpiles (Final product and Raw materials), slag, HH and tailings facility
- Tubatse Ferrochrome and Tubatse Alloys groundline monitoring
- Durban, Richards Bay, and Maputo stockpiles
- Assist with survey overflow at Eastern Chrome Mines (Steelpoort)Ad hoc needs from SHEQ such as stormwater surveys, layouts etc. * Assist with preparation of comprehensive and accurate survey reports

• Demonstrate an understanding of topographic and point cloud computation and manipulation
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain digital models for historic comparison and baseline modelling

Key customers:All Business UnitsMinimum qualifications:

• National Diploma / B. Tech Survey
• 4 years minimum survey experience which include Construction- and Topographic survey, stockpile quantification and RPAS(UAV) mapping

Additional qualifications:

• Valid remote pilots license
• Valid flight medical (Class 3)
• Valid drivers license with no endorsements
• South African Geomatics Council registered (SAGC), previously PLATO - at least at Survey Technician level
