SWIM COACH

This position will be based at Tableview Swimming Academy

Genius Academy is a leader in innovative education solutions. We are dedicated to fostering academic excellence and providing top-notch educational resources to our community. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Coach to join our team at Tableview Swim School.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for children in the Swim School. As a Swim Coach you must have excellent swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming strokes and techniques. You must have the ability to instruct students of all ages and skill levels in swimming. You must be enthusiastic, show patience, adaptability and ensure the safety of our learners at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructing students of all ages and skill levels in swimming.

Ability to teach the four swimming strokes

o Freestyle

o Breaststroke

o Backstroke

o Butterfly

Collaborating with the team to create lesson plans.

Attending regular training sessions and workshops for improving skills.

Weekly team meetings, monthly one on one meetings with the team

Complete administration, evaluations, and reports

Ensure the upkeep of pool maintenance & pool management

Qualifications & Experience:

STA Level 2 in teaching swimming or equivalent

First Aid Level 1

Police Clearance

Minimum of 2 experience as a swim instructor/teacher

Skills and Competencies:

Having prior experience with young learners.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience and diligence

Interpersonal skills

Must have previous administration experience and be comfortable with Microsoft office.

Team player

Proven experience in adherence to safety standards
