Job Description


A dynamic multi-national organisation supplying fresh produce, specialising in climacteric and non-climacteric fruit. They source fresh produce for retail distribution, wholesaling and processing. They secure direct supply programmes from their agricultural operations and supplying growers, the majority of whom are EuroGAP & GLOBALG.A.P. certified.They are now recruiting a System Administrator and Data Analyst in the Data Management/IT Operations department with close collaboration with Finance and Packhouse Operations.Location:Blueberry Packhouse Facility (with potential for some remote data analysis work)Job Purpose:The System Administrator and Data Analyst will manage and optimize the Dipar ERP software/system to ensure seamless data capturing, storage, and management of all blueberry packhouse activities, including fruit arrivals and daily packing outputs. The role will enable the finance department to generate accurate daily and weekly reports by providing reliable data and actionable insights. The position involves hands-on factory floor data collection oversight as well as advanced data analysis to support financial reporting and operational improvements.Key Responsibilities: * Data Capturing and System Administration in Dipar ERP:

  • Manage the Dipar ERP system to ensure accurate data capturing of fruit arrivals (e.g., quantity, quality, batch details, supplier info) and daily packing activities (e.g., weight, pack type, destination).
  • Configure and maintain Dipar ERP modules to align with the packhouse's operational workflows and finance department's reporting needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the Dipar ERP system, including user access, data entry errors, or system performance.
  • Oversee data entry processes on the factory floor, ensuring factory staff use the Dipar ERP system correctly and consistently.
  • Implement data validation checks within the Dipar ERP system to maintain data integrity.
  • Data Management and Integration:
  • Ensure all packhouse data captured in the Dipar ERP system is properly stored, organized, and accessible for reporting purposes.
  • Manage data integration within the Dipar ERP system to consolidate information from various sources (e.g., factory floor inputs, supplier records, inventory logs).
  • Perform regular audits of data in the Dipar ERP system to identify and correct inconsistencies or errors.
  • Coordinate with the Dipar ERP vendor or internal IT teams for system updates, enhancements, or technical support as needed.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations within the Dipar ERP system.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting for Finance:
  • Leverage data in the Dipar ERP system to create automated daily and weekly reports for the finance department, covering fruit arrivals, packing output, wastage, and other key metrics.
  • Perform deep data analysis within the Dipar ERP system to identify trends, inefficiencies, or discrepancies in packhouse operations (e.g., supplier delays, packing bottlenecks, cost variances).
  • Develop custom reports, dashboards, or queries in the Dipar ERP system to meet the specific needs of the finance department.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Manager to refine reporting formats and ensure reports align with financial analysis requirements (e.g., cost tracking, inventory valuation).
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights based on Dipar ERP data as requested by the Financial Manager or other stakeholders.
  • Factory Floor Engagement and Support:
  • Spend time on the factory floor to oversee data capturing processes within the Dipar ERP system and address real-time issues.
  • Train factory floor staff on how to use the Dipar ERP system for data entry and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor the condition and functionality of hardware (e.g., barcode scanners, tablets) integrated with the Dipar ERP system and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for factory floor staff regarding Dipar ERP system queries or challenges.
  • Process Improvement and Collaboration:
  • Work with the Financial Manager and packhouse supervisors to streamline data collection and reporting workflows within the Dipar ERP system.
  • Recommend enhancements or customizations to the Dipar ERP system based on operational needs and data analysis findings.
  • Support the finance department in using Dipar ERP data for budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and financial regulations in all data handling and reporting activities.
Key Skills and Competencies:Technical Skills:
  • Extensive experience with the Dipar ERP software/system, including configuration, data management, and reporting functionalities.
  • Proficiency in database management and querying (e.g., SQL or Dipar ERP-specific query tools).
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Dipar ERP reporting modules).
  • Knowledge of system administration, including user access management, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
  • Familiarity with factory floor data collection tools (e.g., barcode scanners, IoT devices) integrated with ERP systems.
Analytical Skills:
  • Strong ability to analyze large datasets within the Dipar ERP system and extract actionable insights.
  • Experience in creating automated reports and dashboards tailored for financial stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with factory floor staff, the finance team, and the Financial Manager.
  • Problem-solving mindset to address technical and operational challenges within the Dipar ERP system.
  • Ability to train and guide non-technical staff on using the Dipar ERP system effectively.

Industry Knowledge:
  • Understanding of packhouse operations, fruit supply chains, or agricultural processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting requirements (e.g., cost tracking, inventory valuation).
Qualifications and Experience:Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Certifications in ERP system administration or data analysis (e.g., ERP-specific training, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a system administration or data analyst role,
  • Hands-on experience using the Dipar ERP system will be beneficial.
  • Proven track record of managing data within an ERP system and delivering actionable reports for financial purposes.
  • Experience working in a factory or packhouse environment is highly desirable.
Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to spend time on the factory floor and work in a hands-on capacity.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late shifts, depending on packhouse operations.
  • Valid driver's license (if travel between sites is required).
