Letxe2x80x99s change the game together.We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg (Hybrid, onsite one day a week or when the need arises).Role Overview:
This role involves managing and maintaining Elastic clusters, implementing DevOps/DevSecOps practices, developing visualizations in Kibana, and collaborating with various stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesElastic Clusters Management:

• Deploy, configure, test, and troubleshoot Elastic clusters and environments.
• Maintain and upgrade Elastic clusters to ensure optimal performance and security.

Performance Monitoring and Metrics Analysis:

• Perform daily performance monitoring for Elasticsearch clusters and environments.
• Create and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure system reliability.

DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD Implementation:

• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and streamline development processes.
• Ensure security best practices are followed throughout the DevOps processes.

Visualization and Analysis:

• Develop visualizations and dashboards in Kibana to provide insights into system performance and usage.
• Conduct detailed analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with team members, management, assets, and journeys to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Utilize tools such as JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field

Essential skills

• Elasticsearch and/or KAFKA- Hands-on experience and product knowledge of Elasticsearch and/or KAFKA.
• Cloud Platforms- Familiarity with cloud environments, specifically MS Azure and AWS.
• Enterprise Search Domain- Experience in the enterprise search domain and understanding of search architecture.
• DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD- Proven experience in implementing and managing DevOps/DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Visualization Tools- Experience in developing visualizations and dashboards, particularly in Kibana.
• Project Management Tools- Proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration.

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in system engineering

Expleo
