SUMMARY:
-POSITION INFO:Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled technically orientated Systems Engineer to join their dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HPE Server and storage technologies, including HPE OneView and Service Packs for ProLiant, HPE Synergy and Exagrid. Additional expertise in Veeam, VMware, and Hyper-V is highly desirable. This role requires the ability to provide standby support and reliable transportation.Non-negotiable skills requirements: * Experience of delivering Break-Fix hardware support to an end customer. Preferably on HPE Equipment, but will consider Dell-EMC, Lenovo, IBM

• Primary experience must be on Datacentre Hardware. Software that runs on servers, managing users on Active Directory and Exchange, end-user computing etc will not count in the candidates favour.
• Must have excellent communication skills in English. This is written and verbal. English is the primary business language and communication with international staff from our vendors will always be in English.

• HPE Server & Storage Management:

• Manage, configure, and maintain HPE servers and storage systems.
• Utilize HPE OneView for system monitoring and management.
• Apply Service Packs for ProLiant (SPP) and ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest firmware and patches.
• Administer HPE Synergy composable infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• ExaGrid Management:

• Configure and maintain ExaGrid backup storage systems.
• Ensure data deduplication processes are efficient and effective.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues related to ExaGrid.
• Virtualization:

• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot VMware and Hyper-V environments.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on virtual machines and hypervisors.
• Backup & Recovery:

• Implement and manage backup solutions using Veeam.
• Ensure data integrity and perform regular backup tests and recovery procedures.
• System Monitoring & Support:

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Provide standby support and respond to after-hours incidents as needed.
• Document and escalate issues to senior administrators when necessary.
• User Support:

• Provide technical support to customers, resolving hardware and software issues.

• Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred but not required).
• Certifications:

• HPE Server and Storage certifications (e.g., HPE ATP, ASE).
• Certifications in VMware (e.g., VCP) and Microsoft Hyper-V (e.g., MCSA) are a plus.
• Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with HPE OneView, Service Packs for ProLiant and HPE Synergy.
• Practical knowledge of Veeam, VMware, and Hyper-V environments.

• Strong understanding of HPE server and storage architecture.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware and Hyper-V).
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions, particularly Veeam and Exagrid.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to provide standby support and respond to after-hours emergencies.

• Must have own reliable transport.
• Availability for on-call support as required
