Overview:

We are a subsidiary of Toshiba who provides leading solutions for performance and condition monitoring, as well as support services and training to our clients. We work directly with our clients across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region to monitor, plan, and execute operations and maintenance activities at their power plants.


Our EtaPRO performance solutions are used by power producers globally key areas that we cover include monitoring performance, troubleshooting, alerting and investigating issues, as well as reporting on operations and performance to multiple levels of the organisation. We strive to meet the performance needs of our customers by supporting them through their digitalisation journey using our software and associated services. Our growing South African branch is looking for talented individuals to join their technical team.



You will be joining a team of dynamic, motivated, and customer-centric individuals who work independently and in a team, remotely and in-person, as the need arises. The local team supports clients in our region. We are passionate about developing solutions, supporting our clients to achieve their performance goals, and positively contributing to the energy industry. You will be working with us and gaining valuable experience in engineering and technical support.

What the role involves:

Day to day, you will be responsible for software and technical support, which include, but are not limited to:

updating and adding new models and modules to existing systems reporting on data integrity assisting clients in their use of EtaPRO systems as a helpdesk agent data analysis building dashboards, reports, models, etc. troubleshooting system data issues

You could also:

configure new systems travel to client sites occasionally assist with proposals provide software training prepare reports and project documentation maintain system databases

Additional information:

Basic knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio 2005 or later Fluent in a second South African language Previous experience with EtaPRO Plant Performance Monitoring Software Basic programming knowledge in a C based language Previous experience with EtaPRO Plant Performance Monitoring Software Basic knowledge of data analytics Knowledge of thermodynamics Able to drive and possess a valid driver's license Possession or be in process of applying for a passport

Key Requirements:

Candidates must:

hold a BScEng/BEng degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Graduate level up to 2 years preferably with power plant experience
