As a System Tester/Validator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software systems, hardware components, or integrated systems. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test plans and procedures to verify that systems meet their specifications and function correctly. Your role will involve identifying and reporting defects, working closely with development teams, and contributing to the overall improvement of system quality. Key Responsibilities: Test Planning:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements and objectives.
- Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Define testing scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance testing as needed.
- Execute test cases and record test results, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Identify, document, and prioritize defects, issues, or anomalies.
- Verify defect fixes and retest as necessary.
- Set up and configure test environments to mimic production conditions.
- Ensure test data availability and integrity.
- Collaborate with system administrators and infrastructure teams.
- Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in design and code reviews to identify potential issues early.
- Provide input on design and architecture for testability.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Generate test summary reports and communicate results to relevant parties.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging testing technologies.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance the testing process.
- Contribute to a culture of quality assurance within the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in system testing, validation, or quality assurance (Minimum 2 years).
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect tracking.
- Familiarity with agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Knowledge of version control systems and issue tracking tools (e.g., Git, JIRA).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
