Role Description: Executing the talent acquisition & retention strategy of the VKB Group. The successful candidate will develop and implement effective strategies to identify, select and retain skilled individuals who align with the company's values, purpose, strategy and objectives.What does it mean to be a Talent Acquisition & Retention Specialist? We are seeking a motivated Talent Acquisition & Retention Manager to support the VKB Group. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, under high stress and proactively finding solutions to challenges. You will work with pace and precision to deliver within agreed SLAs and support the VKB Group in attracting, selecting and retaining the best talent to provide the Group with a competitive advantage - the best talent and skills in the Agri Industry.Qualifications:

  • Industrial Psychology Hons. Degree
  • Professionally registered with HPCSA and/or SABPP
Experience:
  • At least 5 years of specialist experience in Talent Attraction, Selection and Retention
  • Comprehensive understanding of talent acquisition practices.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Secure an effective role brief and create a bespoke attract, selection and retention strategy across various platforms.
  • Qualify employees thoroughly against role specifications to assess fit, maximizing potential against future roles.
  • Assess employees' commitment, handle objections and concerns, and present a shortlist of qualified and relevant employees to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in trackers and systems, while planning and prioritizing roles to meet and exceed deadlines and SLA agreements.
  • Provide a world-class experience to external and internal employees, and proactively offer updates and options to the team and the wider business.
  • Work alongside business leadership to identify workforce requirements.
  • Develop a retention strategy in collaboration with the VKB Groups Talent Development Head, to ensure the Group retains its top talent (internal talent pipeline)
  • Brand awareness on social media in collaboration with Marketing team to attract the best talent and build an external talent pipeline
  • Maintain talent pipelines through relationship building with various institutions and collaboration with the Human Capital Team.
