What will you do as a Talent &
Development Manager?
As the Talent & Development Manager you will partner with various business functions to develop and implement talent strategies that address current and future needs. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, talent management expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders .i.e. internal partners, ensure effective relationship management, and collaboration across the organization.
You will also partner and provide advisory and solutions in the area of organizational development, talent management, culture management and employee engagement.
The Talent & Development Manager will report directly to the Director: Human Resources & Communications, Vopak South Africa.

What do we expect from you as a Talent &
Development Manager?
Post graduate qualification (advantageous) and relevant tertiary qualification is required
10 Years' Talent & Development experience
5 Years' experience at Senior Management level
Skills Development Facilitator certification required
Management experience in maintaining Seta Stakeholder relationships
Senior knowledge and experience in managing the priority skills element aligned with amended BBBEE scorecard
OD-ETDP (Occupationally Directed Education Training Development Practice) certification
Skilled in stakeholder management and a Talent builder - well developed leadership and people management/development skills.
Strategic thinker with a forward-looking mindset and strong project management skills.
Excellent communication skills and a highly service-oriented approach.
Adaptable, cooperative work style that fosters cross-functional collaboration.
Strong knowledge of South Africa's employment laws and practices.

Your core responsibilities are:
Partner with senior leadership to drive talent management initiatives and align people strategies with business goals.
Effectively and efficiently maintain all statutory reporting (WSP/ATR) and discretionary funding opportunities.
Anticipate and address potential challenges or resistance to culture implementation through effective collaboration, communication and proactive planning and engagement.
Manage, coach, and develop a diverse training team and maintain ongoing collaboration with the peers within the BU & Group.
Lead the development and execution of organizational design, talent management, succession planning and learning & development strategies to drive business success.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders and influence decision-making processes based on HR expertise, insights and well developed business partnership skills.
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, line managers, and employees on Talent & Development - related matters.
Build robust and functional internal talent development pipelines to support the current and anticipated talent needs across teams and functions.
Ensure effective mentorship & coaching processes are in place, including feedback mechanisms.
Design and implement talent development programs across all organisational levels, succession planning, and career development initiatives including replacement plans.
Lead all local Culture projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and objectives are met. Support the roll out of global initiatives in the BU where required while developing and implementing local projects.
Foster and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the organization's purpose, culture pillars and supports employees in reaching their full potential.
Stay current with Talent & Development trends, external best practices, and industry developments.
Lead the analysis, and reporting of Talent metrics to inform strategic decisions and develop actionable plans to address Talent challenges and opportunities based on data-driven insights.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, and company policies within the BU.
Maintain strong knowledge of B-BBEE and Employment Equity in the South Africa context.
Mitigate all related risks through proactive audits, policy reviews, and adherence to best practices within the Learning and Development .
