The Durban University of Technology (DUT) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Sourcing Specialist to join our Human Capital Services team. This role is pivotal in supporting the university's mission to attract and select top talent in alignment with our values and strategic objectives.

Minimum Requirements:



A qualification at

NQF Level 7

in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.

7 years of experience

in human resource management, with a focus on the sourcing and selection of employees across all levels of the organisation. Demonstrated ability to attract suitable talent through a strong employee value proposition and other sourcing strategies. Experience in selection and assessment tools. Proficiency in Human Resources/Recruitment Management Systems and

MS Word

.

Ideal Requirements:



Registration with the South African Board for Personnel Practice (or a relevant recognized body). Knowledge of the higher education sector. Familiarity with DUT's culture, EE aspirations, and business practices.

Competencies:



Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and HR practices. Proficiency in competency-based interviewing and facilitation. Interpersonal and cross-cultural sensitivity. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to foster a people-centered culture in line with DUT's values.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:



Applicant Sourcing:

+ Identify and review applicant sourcing tools, applications, and methodologies for maximum reach.
+ Represent DUT's Employee Value Proposition at internal and external forums, events, and career fairs.

Job Advertisements:

+ Develop and update job advertisements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
+ Publish job advertisements per DUT's recruitment protocol and ensure optimal reach using various platforms.

Applicant Tracking and Screening:

+ Consolidate and track all received applications.
+ Screen and process applicants as per DUT's recruitment policies, ensuring adherence to deadlines and minimum criteria.
+ Provide feedback to applicants and update internal stakeholders on applicant status.

Assessments and Testing:

+ Administer and coordinate recruitment-related tests/assessments.
+ Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in the recording and distribution of assessment results.

Selection Interviews:

+ Develop competency-based interview guides in collaboration with subject matter experts.
+ Coordinate interviews, including scheduling, logistics, and preparing interview materials.
+ Participate in senior staff recruitment alongside the Senior Director of Human Capital Services.

Recruitment Administration:

+ Conduct reference, qualification, financial, and criminal record checks as per DUT policy.
+ Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires and liaise with training coordinators for induction.
+ Prepare offer letters and ensure timely communication with candidates.

Reporting and Stakeholder Management:

+ Report on the implementation of sourcing plans and recruitment outcomes.
+ Liaise with external service providers and ensure adherence to service agreements.
+ Provide guidance and upskill internal stakeholders on competency-based interviewing and selection tools.
