This opportunity allows you to engage with the fintech landscape, leveraging your innovative mindset to provide cutting-edge solutions for crypto investors and traders.:

• Apply South African tax laws on crypto assets.
• Calculate and report crypto taxes to SARS by annual deadlines.
• Assist clients in legally minimizing tax liabilities.
• Analyze various crypto transactions (buying, selling, swapping, gifting).
• Determine tax implications and ensure accurate profit/loss reporting.
• Assess and calculate CGT on crypto gains.
• Determine effective tax rates based on the annual exclusion threshold and total taxable income.
• Evaluate crypto profits for income tax, applying relevant tax rates (18%-45%).
• Assist clients in meeting income tax obligations.
• Maintain detailed records of all crypto transactions, including mining, staking, airdrops, and DeFi activities.
• Stay updated on SARS regulations and collaborate with advisors and exchanges.
• Provide strategies for tax optimization

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Bachelors degree in accounting
• CA(SA) OR SAIT accreditation is essential
• 3 to 5 years managerial experience
• Experience in Tax and how it relates to Crypto is essential
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
