Minimum Requirements
- At least 1 - 2 years tax experience.
- Appropriate accounting, law or tax qualification.
- Good working knowledge of tax legislation.
- SAICA Articles or SAIPA Articles would be advantageous.
- Contribute to tax related reports / opinions / letters (including correspondence with SARS).
- Conduct tax research that is relevant and meets the requirements of the brief provided by manager.
- Perform tax calculations and reconciliations.
- The preparation and submission of tax objections, appeals and VDP applications.
- Completion of returns.
- Preparation of response to SARS audits, verifications and other tax-related queries.
- Accurate identification of variance between assessment and tax return.
- Assist with identifying appropriate actions based on assessment variance and discuss this with senior team member or partner.
