Job Description


To provide administrative and clerical support to the legal team, ensuring efficient operation of the legal office. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or an individual with limited experience in the legal field, who is eager to learn and develop their skills in a professional environment.y Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
  • Assist attorneys with the preparation, filing, and maintenance of legal documents.
  • Manage and organize legal files, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court dates for the legal team.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle correspondence.
  • Document Preparation:
  • Draft and proofread correspondence, legal documents, and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of discovery documents, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Conduct initial document reviews and gather necessary information for case preparation.
  • Research:
  • Conduct basic legal research and compile data to assist attorneys in case preparation.
  • Keep abreast of changes in legal procedures and regulations that may impact the firm's operations.
  • Client Interaction:
  • Communicate with clients to schedule meetings, provide updates, and collect necessary information.
  • Ensure a high level of client confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Miscellaneous:
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Senior Attorney or Legal Manager.
  • Assist with billing and invoicing processes.
  • Maintain office supplies and ensure the legal office operates smoothly.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • An Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field is preferred.
  • Recent graduates or students in their final year of study in a relevant field are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience:
  • Limited experience required; internships or volunteer experience in a legal setting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and processes is a plus.
