Job Description
Tax Manager - CPT, Northern SuburbsOur client in Cape Town looking for a Tax ManagerRequirements and Experience that must be met:* Tertiary degree in accounting or taxation* Postgraduate qualification in taxation* CA (SA) qualification would be an advantage* Membership in regulatory bodies such as CIMA, SAICA, or SAIPA * At least 5 years' experience in a tax related role, particularly in corporate tax, international tax and transfer pricing* Knowledge of tax legislation in African countries an added advantage* Experience in the retail industry is advantageous* Strong knowledge of IFRS, IAS 12, and deferred tax.* Solid business acumen* Proficiency in English (both written and verbal)* Advanced computer literacy* Willingness to travel withing Africa* South African citizenshipDuties would be but not limited to:Tax Compliance:* Review foreign tax provincial computations and returns* Prepare supporting schedules for corporate tax submissions * Address and resolve tax related queries* Maintain an up to date understanding of key taxes and regulations in each country including South Africa (covering income tax, VAT, Stamp duties, Import duties, WHT, thin capitalization and transfer pricing.* Assist in drafting communications to regulatory authorities on tax related matters (e.g. audits, or revenue authority inquiries)For more information please contact:Yolanda Day-Garden
