JSE-listed business, a well known trusted brand. Currently seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) with 0 to 2 years of post-article experience to join their dynamic finance team as a Technical Accountant. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in balance sheet financial control and reporting, while also providing invaluable support to their group finance team in addressing technical accounting, IFRS, and reporting-related queries.Duties:

• Take ownership of balance sheet financial control and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform detailed reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
• Support the group finance team in addressing technical accounting queries, including interpretation and application of IFRS standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and enhance financial reporting processes, driving efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, proactively communicating updates and implications to relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (SA) with 0 to 2 years of post-article experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, with a solid understanding of IFRS standards and financial reporting principles.
• Experience in balance sheet financial control and reporting is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
