Job Description


A well-established, leading agricultural solutions provider specializing in crop protection products, plant nutrition, and sustainable farming innovations for global markets is seeking the above role to be responsible for the execution of high-quality agrochemical trials. This role ensures that all trials are implemented in strict accordance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Experimental Practices (GEP), guided directly by the supervisor. The role plays a critical part in supporting commercial goals by generating reliable field data and showcasing product performance.Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a B.Sc. Agric or National Diploma in Agronomy, Plant Protection, or related field
  • Minimum 13 years field trial experience in the crop protection or agricultural research industry
  • Strong understanding of GAP, GEP, and agrochemical trial methodologies is essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Passion for agriculture and innovation in crop protection
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel when required
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Planning, implementing, and managing look-see, marketing, and demonstration trials across various crops, in collaboration with sales agents.
  • Working with a wide range of products including herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, nematicides, biologicals, foliar feeds, adjuvants, and other crop protection inputs.
  • Interpreting and applying trial protocols as instructed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Identifying suitable trial sites aligned with crops, pest/disease target, and commercial objectives.
  • Conducting experimental design and planning, including trial layout, application timing, assessment schedules, and harvesting.
  • Managing and tracking chemical stock levels, ensuring proper storage, and maintaining the safe handling of all trial samples.
  • Maintaining all trial equipment and ensuring proper use, calibration, and safekeeping.
  • Ensuring compliance with all quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Representing the company at demo days by presenting trial outcomes to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor to support the department.
