Quantum Foods is a diversified feeds, poultry and egg business providing quality animal protein to selected South African and African marketsQuantum Foods has a career opportunity at its Nova Feeds Factory in Paterson with the following vacancy:TECHNICAL ADVISORThis position will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager and will be servicing clients in the Eastern Cape (Tsitsikamma, Somerset East, Cradock) with Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) as preferred town of residence.PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• Achieve, and maintain allocated sales budget
• Manage service levels
• Structured visits and technical support to customers (mainly ruminant and some monogastric animals)
• Monitor farm feed quality and handling of complaints
• Administer sales documents and reports
• Report functional information
• Execute Marketing plan implemented by the Sales Manager

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE:

• Relevant agricultural degree (M.Sc. Agric/B.Sc. Agric/B.Agric.)
• At least 2-4 years' experience in similar position
• Experience in milking from pasture-based systems would be advantageous
• Knowledge of pasture management would be advantageous
• Efficient in the use of Microsoft office
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Highly motivated
• Problem solving and decision making
• Good analytical skills to interpret and convey data
• Team player
• Ethical conduct and professionalism
• Prioritise and effective time management
• Valid driver's license
• Own reliable transport
