Job Description

Our client, a leading water treatment company based in Muizenberg, Cape Town, is seeking a Business Development Representative with 3 to 5 years of proven experience in technical business development or sales within the water and wastewater treatment industry, or a related technical solutions sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven ability to understand client needs, and drive revenue growth through strategic upselling and cross-selling of products and services. The role requires a valid driver's license, own vehicle, and a willingness to travel locally, regionally, and potentially internationally. The successful candidate will receive strong support from the Business Development Department and report directly to the Business Development Manager.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field. 3-5 years of proven experience in a technical business development or sales role within the water and wastewater treatment industry or a related technical solutions sector. Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand complex water and wastewater treatment processes. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and potentially internationally as required. Own vehicle and valid Driver's License.
