Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in top-notch industry certifications such as CompTIA Server+/Network+, SIP School, or their equivalents.
• Additional certifications in network security or cloud technologies are a definite plus.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated 1-3 years of hands-on experience in telephony engineering or a closely related field.
• Proven track record in maintaining telephony solutions, covering VoIP systems, PBX, SIP, and other key protocols.
• Expertise in handling telephony hardware and software, including gateways, switches, routers, and telephony servers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across varied environments, from on-premises to cloud-based setups.
• Experience integrating telephony into unified communications platforms, collaboration tools, and contact center solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities to diagnose telephony issues and devise effective solutions.
• Must have own transport.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

• Assist in foundational technical tasks under mentorship.
• Contribute to resolving basic technical challenges, seeking guidance when needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on technical platforms to ensure peak performance.
• Support senior engineers in project tasks and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and help tackle any arising issues to maintain timelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm and tackle technical hurdles.
• Actively engage in knowledge sharing and brainstorming sessions.
• Demonstrate leadership by taking ownership of assigned tasks.
• Foster a positive team environment through collaboration and support.
• Recommend enhancements to implementation and support processes.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Assess technical requirements for system implementations.
• Continuously upgrade skills through self-learning and professional development.
• Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Implement best practices in technical deployments.
• Participate in post-implementation reviews and process refinement.
• Work with the team to streamline operational processes.
• Provide top-notch technical support and troubleshooting to customers.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer issues within agreed SLAs.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure all technical tasks comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Uphold data privacy and protection guidelines at all times.
• Develop and update comprehensive technical documentation.
• Share knowledge and insights through internal presentations and documentation.
