RemanReference Number: [[7482]]Grading: Wages AINTRODUCTION:Komatsu is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Technical Inspector to join their dynamic team at their Reman Centre in Germiston. The preferred candidate should have at least 5 years post trade experience on heavy earthmoving equipment within the mining industry and a relevant HEM Trade certificate.QUALIFICATIONS:A Trade Certificate: Heavy Earthmoving MechanicGrade 12/ N3 Technical Certificate.EXPERIENCE:5 years post trade on earth moving equipment/ components.Technical investigations/ machine troubleshooting.Root cause analysis investigations.SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:5 years experience working on earthmoving machinery.Excellent written communication skills. Report writing experience beneficial.Knowledge of failure modes, mechanics, hydraulics, electrical, engineering/ salvaging essential.Have good troubleshooting knowledge of machines & familiar with standard tool requirements.Good understanding of maintenance philosophy.Valid driver's license.Intermediate level MS office. Excel essential.JOB SPECIFICATION:Carrying out proper Komatsu product diagnostics, repairs, services, and oil analysis.Complete service reports.Carry out inspections on customer machines.Conducting daily? weekly/ quarterly/ annual InspectionsMachine Repairs: Field and workshopMaintain Company service vehicle in good condition and carry out repairs to an acceptable standard.The successful incumbent will work overtime and standby and must be prepared to travel to other areas when needed.Plans for service of equipment (new and used in stock), about dates, workshops, the nomination of service, stock, and other resources.Provides feedback about continuous improvement/suggestions to foreman/manager.Plans troubleshooting process of equipment (new and used in stock)In accordance with the Employment Equity Act (EEA) of 1998, Komatsu is committed to the principles of employment equity and fair labor practices.
