About the job Technical Lifestyle Management (TLM) Engineer (Contract) - Midrand/Gauteng - ISB5101281Our client requires the services of an Operations Engineer (Advanced) Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office Rotation

POSITION: Contract until December 2026EXPERIENCE: 4-6 Years related working experience.COMMENCEMENT: As soon as possibleQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  • IT Experience (5 to 6 Years)
  • Higher qualification in computer sciences/Information Systems or equivalent qualification.
  • Fluent in English including Business reading and writing and presentation delivery.
  • IT Operational Experience as per ITIL
  • Project management experience.
  • Agile Methodology knowledge and experience
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Broad understanding of Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM) in IT
  • Prior experience in the role of an Infrastructure Architect/Solution Architect.
  • In-dept knowledge and practical experience of IT Infrastructure i.e., Data Centres, Networks, Servers, Storage, Platform, Middleware and Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
  • Practical experience in the special context of TLM.
  • Practical experience in IT Operations.
  • Ability to conceptualise complex information, but also delve into the details when required.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with frameworks and guidelines (ITIL standards) relevant for IT Operations.
  • Practical experience with the classical IT Infrastructure Operations, DevOps and Agile software development.
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS
  • Fluent in English including Business reading and writing.
  • German Speaking advantage (not a pre-requisite)
  • GROUP IT experience advantage (not a pre-requisite)
  • Advanced skills in preparations and delivery of presentations to all organization levels
  • Communication methodology skills in big organisations/initiatives
  • IT Infrastructure Operations
  • IT Process Steering
  • IT Process Governance
  • Data Analysis The ability to analyse and visualise data sets. (Excel, Power-BI, etc.)
  • Service Now (SNOW) understanding
  • Ability to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders & customers at different organisational levels.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, inter dependant as well as independently and submit deliverables on time and in excellent quality. SELF STARTER.
  • Self-motivated and open minded for proactive investigations and to learn independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Above board work ethics this is of utmost importance.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively, for up to 2 weeks at a time (international).
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users.
ROLE:
  • Consulting on the GROUP IT architecture processes with the focus on Technical Lifecycle Management (TLM)
  • Support with the Planning, conducting and after care related to TLM activities.
  • Support with the documentation of infrastructure components and master solutions according to TLM and architecture guidelines, including quality assurance.
  • Monitoring and reporting of TLM activities in the Group.
  • Interfacing with other experts with regards to IT Service Management.
  • Ensure, drive, steer, report and improve the quality of architecture documentation with focus on TLM.
  • Supporting the development of technical recommendation with respect to TLM.
  • Updating & maintaining TLM Confluence pages.
  • Updating & maintaining TLM process templates.
  • Updating & maintaining TLM service offerings in ServiceNow.
  • IT Process Maintenance/Communication/Optimization/Improvement in IT Service Management (ITIL) with focus on TLM
  • Review and reporting of the status of mandatory artifacts and activities.
  • Maintenance of customer base data.
  • Engage with stakeholders of TLM Crisis Management and Emergency Management when required.
  • Engaging with GROUP Dev/Ops Teams (Infrastructure and Applications) in support of TLM.
  • Interfacing with other experts regarding TLM topics in support of the relevant reliability planning feature team.
  • Attending of all Agile ceremonies and actively taking part in the ceremonies
  • Adherence to the ZA IT HUB rules, policy and regulations.
