Our client, a supplier of processing, storage and ageing equipment and machinery to the wine & olive industries, is seeking a dynamic Technical Manager with a background in agricultural machinery. With a proven track record in technical support and client service, the candidate will join their team based in Paarl (Western Cape). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical advice to clients and managing technical projects from inception to completion. Duties will include: *Providing technical guidance and support to clients *Developing project plans and formulating quotations *Leading and managing new equipment installations *Managing contractors and staff *Monitoring progress, managing budgets and ensuring timely delivery of projects *Building relationships with vendors and suppliers *Monitoring and managing the workshop, including stock control *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: Relevant qualification, Mechanical or similar will be beneficial; At least 5 years experience in a similar technical/mechanical role in the Agricultural industry; Knowledge of wine & olive industry will be highly advantageous; Strong communication abilities (Afrikaans & English); Strong computer literacy (MS Office); Valid drivers license; Willingness to travel.
