FEED FIRST (PTY) LTD is one of the largest animal feed consultancy firms in South Africa and is based in Centurion. Feed First offers advisory services, feed formulation services and technical support to our customers and animal nutrition solutions to the animal feed and livestock industries across South Africa and Africa. Feed First is looking to appoint a Technical Nutritionist to join their team. The role will focus on the poultry industry with some local and international travel required.QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum BSc (Agric) Animal Science
• MSc (Agric) Animal Science will be advantageous
• Ideal will be a minimum of 3 years' work experience in the animal nutrition industry

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS

• Analytical
• Meticulous
• Self-motivated, positive and able to work with minimal supervision
• Good knowledge of Feed Formulation (preferably Format) will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Allix will be advantageous, but not essential
• Good knowledge on Poultry Nutrition will be advantageous
• Good knowledge of feed manufacturing and quality systems will be advantageous
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and must be fully proficient in English. Skills in Afrikaans will be advantageous.
• Computer literate
• Statistical literacy will be advantageous
• The candidate must be either registered or be eligible for registration as a professional animal scientist with SACNASP.

• Feed formulation (poultry)
• Providing technical support and advice to customers and feed mills
• Research, product development and innovation
• Managing customers raw material and final product quality
• Active involvement in customer's quality programs
• Support customers regarding their raw material procurement
