Philagro SA, a leading supplier of quality agricultural products, has an opportunity available for a Technical Product Manager with a strong focus on Biorational Products (including Plant Growth Regulators, Biologicals, Biostimulants and Bio-fertilisers) in the Row Crop- and Vegetable markets. The main focus of the role will be to develop and sell the Biorational Product portfolio of Philagro SA in the allocated regions (Highveld, Eastern Free State and KZN) successfully through demand creation (including conducting & coordinating trials, farmer & retailer meetings, technical support, pre-launch, & launch activities) at targeted farmers, dealers, and key role players in the industry to develop the awareness and increase sales of Biorational Products. The successful candidate will report to the International Director SSBU, EMEA region, as well as the Commercial & Marketing Manager of Philagro SA. Duties will be focused on Biorational Products and will include *technical support at grower & agent level *product training *demand creation and selling the value proposition of the Biorational Products on row crops and vegetables *management of budgets *product stewardship *all other tasks related to the role. Essential qualifications, skills and experience: Bachelors or Masters degree in Agriculture or a related field (Soil Biology, Myocology, Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Argonomy, Horticulture); Experience with row crops and vegetables; Knowledge of the Crop Protection industry, including Biorationals, Biostimulants, and Plant Growth Regulators; Good understanding of plant physiology, plant nutrition, crop production, crop protection, and soil health will be beneficial; Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English); Willingness to travel.
