Develop and service the allocated area and customer portfolio, by achieving budget targets and growth expectations.
Market the company's products and services to customers, building strategic relationships with industry role players such as Specifiers and industry professionals, according to company imperatives.
Is this job for you ?The ideal candidate should have minimum 3 years' experience in the Construction industry, preferably in technical selling and/or site management. Having a recognized business qualification such as QS, Civil Engineering, Architectural, or Construction Management is mandatory for this role. Also, a valid driver's licence. This role calls for a person who is a professional in selling and negotiating, has great communication and customer service skills and understands construction/site project hierarchies and relationships. Teamwork is essential for this role. To ensure workloads are managed effectively, the candidate should have good planning and organizational skills and establish, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (internally and externally). Driving specifications with influencers such as architects, engineers, QS, etc. Advancing the company's image by networking and being actively involved in applicable functions and technical seminars. Ensuring pricing strategy is followed, and profitability targets are met. Compiling and submitting monthly sales reports and forecasts and advising the sales manager of changing market conditions. Facilitate all customer product quality complaints and backup services. Participate in stock take, when necessary, ensure accurate product forecasts to minimize working capital requirements. Maintain awareness of the credit status of the customers to facilitate sales orders and admin. Submission of customer visit reports (CRM) and call planning schedules when required, and participation in regular local sales meetings to foster good internal relations, teamwork, and performance excellence. The ideal candidate will have to maintain good and effective internal and external communication.
