Job Description
Sound mechanical and electrical knowledge is a prerequisite for the ideal candidate. This position will require the candidate to travel. The Technical Sales Representative works very closely with the Internal Sales, Branch Managers, and different divisions of the company.Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a Technical qualification equal to a N6, advantageous
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Must be able to read technical drawings
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the Electrical / Mechanical Components industry
- Sound internal and external client relations
- Sound knowledge of sales techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
- Perform technical sales tasks, generate leads, and develop relationships with prospective clients
- Draft client specific proposals and quotations
- Accurate compilation of relevant sales data and statistics
- Company product, market, and competitor knowledge
