Job Summary:
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our solutions to clients in the food and beverage industry. You will use your technical expertise and excellent communication skills to identify customer needs, provide product recommendations, and close sales. This role requires a deep understanding of both the machinery and the specific requirements of the food and beverage sector.Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development: Identify and target new sales opportunities within the food and beverage sector.
Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth technical knowledge of machinery products, offering expert guidance to clients on selecting the best solutions for their needs.
Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their technical requirements and ensuring satisfaction with our products and services.
Product Demonstrations: Conduct presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients, explaining technical features and benefits.
Proposal and Quote Generation: Prepare detailed, customized proposals, quotes, and specifications for customers based on their requirements.
Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyse market trends and competitor activities, providing feedback to the management team for continuous product and strategy development.
Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, service, and product teams to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and after-sales support.Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the food and beverage machinery industry.
Strong technical knowledge of machinery, automation systems, and production processes specific to the food and beverage sector.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical customers.
Results-driven with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
A degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Previous experience in sales and business development within the machinery or manufacturing industries is a plus.
