Job Description

Job Summary Established national supplier of valve, flow and instrumentation products requires a Sales Engineer/Sales Rep to cover various industries in and around Cape Town. Preference will be given to Cape Town based candidates. Remuneration Package: - R22 000 to R40 000 ctc a month depending on experience (includes salary and provident fund, medical aid optional) - Vehicle scheme (includes fuel, insurance, maintenance, tolls etc.) - Commission scheme comes into effect after 6 months employment Required: - Matric / N3 minimum - Must be a self starter (go getter) - External (technical/engineering) sales experience - Own reliable transport and willing to travel - Basic computer literacy Advantageous: - Knowledge of any of the following industries - mining, petrochemical, FMCG, pulp and paper, water and waste water, power generation etc. - Mechanical/Technical/Engineering qualification - Extensive technical knowledge of valves - Instrumentation knowledge or experience - Good sales background with track record Responsibilities: CALLING ON, SERVICING AND EXPANDING EXISTING CLIENT BASE - Planning and making sales calls - Completing and submitting call plans and reports - Preparing and submitting quotes to customers - Preparing and presenting sales presentations - Cold calling to identify and secure new customers CONTRIBUTION TO BRANCH PROFITABILITY - Ensuring that sales budgets are met - Planning and executing of market penetration strategies - Gaining and maintaining in depth knowledge on company's products QUALITY OF SERVICE RENDERED - Liaising with customers on a regular basis to ensure that service levels are meeting expectations - Evaluating policies and procedures with respect to their impact on customer satisfaction and making recommendations where required Contact Scott on 0117041302McKessar RecruitmentRandburg2-10RecruiterAboutWe are specialist recruiters in the following industries : 1.) high speed packaging (FMCG), 2.) plastics packaging and 3.) industrial pumps and valves.
