Job Description
POSITION:
Vitam International is a leading distributor of proven animal feed additives sourced from
several well-respected multinational companies. Vitam International operates across the
Southern African region and delivers solutions to all animal species. Vitam International has a vacancy for a dynamic and motivated Technical Service Manager: Poultry. This position is based in Gauteng and the incumbent will report to the Poultry Sales Manager.Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Marketing of a range of specialty nutrition solutions mainly for the poultry market.
- Liaise with farmers, local distributors, and key influences.
- Responsible for sales and profitability for a range of products in Gauteng, Northwest,
- Stay up to date with independent research, market trends and business opportunities.
- Participate in industry technical committee meetings.
- Minimum of BSc Agriculture degree - Animal science.
- Product and sales training will be provided by Vitam International.
- Registered at SACNASP as a Professional Animal Scientist or in the proses thereof.Specific Experience
- One (1) - 5 years of related experience in the Poultry industry.
- Experience in feed additives, applied nutrition and on-farm management.
- Computer literate and proven competency.Attributes/Competencies-Good interpersonal skills and a good business acumen.
-Good communication skills including presentation skills.
-Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and to work flexible hours.
-Service orientation and relationship building capabilities.Additional Requirements
The candidate must be willing and able to travel locally and internationally as required.
