An Online Electronics and Automation Company in South Africa is seeking a driven Technical Support Consultant to join our young and dynamic team. This is a superb opportunity to learn and grow within the company. The candidate will assist in the technical support department and after-sales department which forms part of supporting customers, provide training and other related tasks. The incumbent will also perform some sales tasks like sending out Invoices and dealing with day-to-day operations. Ultimately, you should be able to support customers and assist with technical queries as priority, and able to assist the sales team. After-sales support plays a critical role in ensuring our customers are happy with the products and can depend on our support channels. The position also entails providing customers with advice based on their requirements. The candidate must adapt to changes and learn the industry trends. The candidate must be technically inclined and hands-on. Roles and responsibilities Below is the list of what we are looking for in the preferred candidate:

    • Analyzing customer requirements
    • Manage customer expectations from a technical point of view
    • Customer Support and follow-up
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Technical mind and ability to fix laser machines
  • Technical mind and ability to fix CNC Milling machines
  • Installation of CNC & Laser software on various machines
  • In charge of the stock inventory at office
  • Packing of orders that are placed online
  • Following up with customers and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Management of license keys and emailing new license keys for Lightburn and CNC software
  • Collaboration with various teams like sales team and digital marketing team
  • Test and debug software related issues
  • Good Understanding of the laser and art industry
  • Able to write up new content and product guides for building wiki portal
  • Able to effectively communicate to customers via phone and email
  • Willingness to learn and understand new technology
  • Innovative and creative
  • Updating records of customer communications and contact information
  • Respond to inquiries about hardware or software issues
  • Fluency in English language (written and spoken)
  • Performing demonstrations of technical products
  • Staying on top of industry trends
