The position will report to Services Training Manager and is based in Randjespark, Midrand (Gauteng).Job Purpose

  • Prepare and conduct training programs. Gather/prepare all necessary material to deliver the training.
  • Record and Analyse training evaluation. Monitor people performance against evaluation criteria/post course performance. Coordinate the training (Internal Trainers, Room, Invitation, Travel.)
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify training needs
  • Prepare training material and classroom agenda
  • Develop training aids such as learner guides, manuals, handbooks, practical examples (mock ups), Slide shows, handouts, etc.
  • Manage the training program in accordance with the training QMS
  • Handle logistics for training activities including travels and equipment
  • Conduct training programs using recognized training techniques and tools
  • Continual contact with Dunnottar trainers to share best practices and improve training material
  • Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, on-the-job coaching and training, virtual simulators, videos
  • Record and analyze training evaluation
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness
  • Monitor people performance against evaluation criteria/post course performance
  • Identify and assist struggling trainees
  • Identifying internal and external technical training programs to address competency/learning gaps
  • Keep up to date with current technical training design and development methodologies
  • Update the training program
  • Ensure that ALL EHS rules and regulations are adhered to
  • Ensure that all company rules and regulations are adhered to
Minimum Requirements
  • Recognized National Diploma( Mech/ Electrical Engineering) along with the ability to demonstrate a practical application in a maintenance-engineering environment
  • EMU Xtrapolis Product knowledge
  • MS Office Literate
  • Certified Assessor/Facilitator
  • Relevant experience, minimum 3-5years, in Engineering Maintenance (Railway) preferred
  • More than 3 years working experience with instruction and training
