Job Description


  • Support business technical functions on electronic initiating systems application and deployment
  • Train and assist blasting personnel with product application, performance, and optimization.
  • Verbal and written feedback to customer, with respect to product performance.
  • Perform product observations, problem solving and blast design.
  • Implementation and monitoring of Quality Assurance and Quality Control measures pertaining to supply and service of explosives.
  • Value-add to Business Unit and customer operations and projects.
  • Travel and work on mine sites independently both locally and internationally.
  • Be on standby for a minimum of two weeks per month.
  • Overtime work as and when require
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
xc2xb7 Grade 12 with Mathxe2x80x99s & Science (Must)
xc2xb7 Valid driverxe2x80x99s license (Must)
xc2xb7 3-5 years xe2x80x98experience in the application and training of digital blasting systems or electronic initiation systems (Must)
xc2xb7 3-5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the drill and blast environment in surface and/or underground mines (very advantageous)
xc2xb7Certified Explosive Engineers Certificate (very advantageous)
xc2xb7Experience in fault finding and repairing electronic circuits (very advantageous)
xc2xb7Blasting Certificate (Surface/Underground) (advantageous)
xc2xb7Tertiary Qualification (advantageous)
xc2xb7Tertiary Qualification in Mining / Electronic / Electrical Engineering (advantageous)KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
