Role PurposePlanning, design and implementation of the LTSA managed voice networks and platforms -All aspects relating to delivery of voice services and system architecture from a core and enterprise managed service perspective.Role DescriptionProject DeliveryProvide support for Unified Communications customer faults and queries. Provide support for Managed PBX customer faults and queries. Coordinate and assist to deliver new customer orders and support onsite contractors where necessary. Manage sign-off of Work Instructions to dispatch contractors for new installationsRegular meetings with contracting partners to resolve pending issues to support SLAs are met with the customer. Assist Managed Services Team to support customer queries and orders. Capacity Management Manage contractors to deliver new services within contracted TAT to ensure contractor delivers the service first time as they only attend to installations once. To ensure sufficient capacity to deliver existing and new Unified Communications voice services according to the sales and revenue mandate of the business. Ensure there is no limitation on sales due to limited capacity. Ensure expansion and optimisation initiatives for Unified Communications and Managed voice services are planned and implemented successfully. Ensure capacity reporting is submitted timeously as required.Availability ManagementEnsure Unified Communications and Managed Voice networks are planned, designed and implemented to carrier-class resilience levels. Ensure resilience enhancing initiatives are planned and implemented successfully.Technology RoadmapEnsure adequate engagement with industry sources, vendors, suppliers, regulatory sources, etc to ensure up-to-date views of the technologies and architectures, and the requirements to maintain networks able to deliver competitive service offerings. Ensure keeping abreast of the lifecycle status of all relevant elements of the network with a view to ensuring network stays within supportable state. Ensure technology refresh exercises are carried out successfully to ensure continued operation of the networks.Special Projects SupportMaintain engagement between Unified Communications Product Management and the Innovation Team to develop and deliver new products and services in the Unified Communications space. Maintain vendor relationships (externally) to stay up to date on new technological developments. Define processes and oversee implementation to deliver and support new Unified Communications products and services. Maintain vendor relationships (externally) to ensure best practice in terms of delivery.B-Tech/National Diploma in related engineering field or similar technical qualifications: EssentialAdditional relevant technical certifications advantageous: Desirable5 years in the telecommunications industry, preferably in an operator environment: Essential
