We have a vacancy for a Technologist in the Test Engineering department. Your main duties will be to do assembly, fault finding, repair and calibration on electronic test benches and test systems. This position might include occasional overseas traveling for test bench maintenance. Your role
Fault finding, repair and maintenance on existing Test Systems
Assist in the manufacturing of new Test System
Qualification and calibration of Test Systems
Managing of test bench maintenance process in Test Engineering
Systems Acceptance Test, documentation and execution
Test systems hardware procurement
Software Installation and setup
Manage and successfully complete projects with little guidance
Give support to production and other departments as required
Give training on test bench operation as required
Assist team members in general test bench management tasks
Work as part of a team
Your profile
Knowledge of National Instruments test equipment will be beneficial
Background in test engineering processes and tools
Minimum 5 years experience in the testing environment
Good knowledge of test instrumentation
Good electronic fault-finding knowledge
Soldering
Mechanical assembly, wiring and crimping of cables and looms
Reading of schematics, wiring diagrams and assembly instruction drawings
Competencies:
Knowledge of engineering and testing procedures
Know how to use testing equipment such as Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Spectrum analyser etc.
Deep understanding of electronic circuits and equipment function
Fault finding and repair experience
Qualification:
N-Dip Electronics or equivalent qualification
