PermanentPlease note if you are an internal employee on a fixed term contract please apply using an external candidate profile and not your employee profileMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo manage and coordinate all telephonic communication and systems within the hospital in a professional manner to ensure efficient and effective communication on behalf of MediclinicKEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASOperate the hospital Telephone system daily as per policy and procedureAttend to all calls timeously in a professional manner ensuring that client expectations are exceededEnsure patient confidentiality is maintained as per policy and procedureCheck the Hospital alarm system daily and notify the relevant department in case of an emergency as per the Alarm Emergency ManualFollow the Hospital Emergency Preparedness Process in the event of an emergency as per Disaster and Emergency PlanREQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12 or equivalentDESIRED EDUCATION: NoneREQUIRED EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: NoneDESIRED EXPERIENCE Experience in private healthcare or similar environment; Switchboard operations and systems; hospital emergency proceduresREQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Hospital Disaster and Emergency processes; procedures and policies
• Switchboard systems and operations
